The International Court of Arbitration for Sport heard the appeal of the Russian gymnasts Alina Kabayeva and Irina Chashchina on Wednesday. In an interview with RIA Novosti on Wednesday, the Russian sportswomen's lawyer Tagir Samakayev said that representatives of the International Federation of Gymnastics had admitted that procedural violations had occurred during their drug tests.
This is exactly why the Arbitration Court suspended Kabayeva and Chashchina's disqualification at the end of July.
The court's ruling on the Russian gymnasts' appeal is expected in the next two-three weeks.
