New Russian sports automobile

The last, ninth stage of the World Cup UAE Desert Challenge 2002 off-road rally at which the Russian team KAMAZ-Master will present its new sports automobile KAMAZ-4911 will be held in the UAE from October 29th to November 2nd, navigator and head of the team Aidar Belyayev said at a press conference.

According to him, the KAMAZ team is facing the tasks of getting maximum ready for the main competition of the year - the 2003 Paris-Dakar rally, testing the new automobile in "combat' conditions, promoting its trademark in the Arab market, and retaining the leading positions in world auto sport.

Belyayev made public the composition of the Russian team which includes six winners of the World Cup, seven Masters of Sport (International Class), having called it "stellar". In his opinion, the Mitsubishi, Renault and Tatra teams will be the main rivals of the Russian rally drivers.
