Intersputnik Council Session Started In Moscow

The 30th session of the Intersputnik (an international organization for satellite communication) Council started in Moscow Wednesday. According to Gennady Kudryavtsev, the Intersputnik general manager, participants in the session are due to discuss the main results of Intersputnik's recent activities and track the avenues of further development. According to him, the key issues to be discussed include implementation of the Intersputnik-100M programme and the Intersputnik strategy adopted at previous sessions. The Intersputnik intergovernmental organization was established in 1971 to develop and exploit the global satellite communication system. Currently, 24 states are its members. Intersputnik has placed into orbit a series of the most up-to-date LMI-1 and Express-A satellites. Intersputnik is one of the leading global satellite communication system operators and provides high-quality services of satellite communication for users all over the world.
