Police arrest knife-wielding Chinese man suspected of stabbing 5 in downtown Belgrade

An enraged Chinese man grabbed a large knife in a downtown Belgrade restaurant and stabbed five passers-by, injuring two of them seriously, police said Monday.

They said the attacker, identified as 40-year-old Vang Ling Li, was arrested late Sunday after he chased several people on the streets while swinging the butcher knife.

One of the injured men lost three fingers, while another suffered a fractured skull, hospital officials said. The three others had slashes and cuts, reports AP.

Police gave no reason for the attack.
