Russia: State Customs Committee Offers Euro Entry Regulations

Russia's State Customs Committee issued regulations of euro cash circulation. They proceed from a Central Bank instruction to authorised banks on euro cash imports to Russia, to be valid until the European Economic and Monetary Union countries introduce euro notes and coins for circulation. The regulations have by now reached Russian regional customs boards and offices, which thus have no grounds to offer obstacles to the euro brought to Russia and authorised, though no euro cash has been declared for today, say Customs Committee PR. The regulations have been issued as the European Union is launching euro cash for circulation, January 1.
