Russia started producing more movies for children

Currently 6-8 movies for children are produced in Russia every year, yet several years ago, in 1998-2000 only one movie of this kind was produced every year.
The most successful movies for children are screen versions of classic writers’ novels and comic movies and video magazines, said Russian Minister of Culture Mikhail Shvydkoi at the Ministry meeting devoted to the issue of culture for children.

The Minister of Culture said that work with children has become an important part of educational programs conducted by Russian museums. Especially successful in working with children are the State Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Polytechnic Museum and the Central State Museum of Modern Russian History.
