Family promises reward for information on missing woman

The family of a Canadian woman who has been missing in the Middle East for more than two months will give a reward for information that may help find her.

Nicole Vienneau, 32, kept in touch with family and friends though sporadic e-mails during her trek through the Middle East.

But the family became concerned when an Easter greeting e-mail from Nicole's mother went unanswered.

Since then, her traveling gear and journal were found at the hotel in Syria where she was staying. She has been missing since March 31.

Nicole's family hope the 1 million Syrian dollars - about $25,000 Canadian ($23,000; 17,059.78 EUR) - reward will encourage anyone who has information to come forward.
