The body of an Indian telecommunications engineer who was killed in southern Afghanistan, purportedly by Taliban rebels, was sent home on Monday, an official said.
After a brief ceremony at Kabul international airport, about 10 Indian soldiers carried the coffin of K. Suryanarayana onto an Air India jet that then took off on a scheduled flight for New Delhi.
Senior Afghan government official had laid a floral wreath at the casket, which was draped in an Indian flag, reports the AP.
