Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Carol Bellamy is arriving in Moscow Saturday, said the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Ms. Bellamy is scheduled to meet senior officials of the Russian ministries and institutions, which actively cooperate with UNICEF. During the visit, she will discuss UNICEF's future rendering of humanitarian aid to the residents of the North Caucasus, preparation of a special session of the UN General Assembly on children, and other aspects of cooperation between Russia and UNICEF. Ms. Bellamy is expected to visit the North Caucasus and St Petersburg, where UNICEF is carrying out some projects. The UNICEF executive director will stay in Russia until October 11th.
