Armenian Defence Minister Serg Sarkisyan is to arrive in Georgia Thursday for a tow-day visit, the information department of the Armenian Defence Ministry told RIA Novosti. He is scheduled to discuss with Georgian leaders the situation in Abkhazia (the self-proclaimed republic in Georgia) and security of its Armenian citizens. "Armenia is concerned about the destiny of our compatriots in the conflict zone. Armenia is interested in the early settlement of this conflict, taking into account that the Armenians in Abkhazia suffer from it," Armenian President Robert Kocharyan said last night. Sixteen Armenians fell victims to the recent conflicts when a group of Chechen and Georgian rebels intruded in Abkhazia.
