On Tuesday the capital of Poland will host a one-day conference of leaders of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe devoted to combating international terrorism. According to the organisers of the conference, taking part in it will be 17 heads of state from Central Europe, the Balkans, and Baltics, as well as from Ukraine and Moldova. Representatives of Russia, Belarus, the USA and Turkey as well as of such international organisations as the UNO, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, NATO and the European Union will attend the conference in the capacity of observers. At the conference Russia will be represented by Vladimir Rushailo, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, who on arriving in Warsaw on Monday held talks with the head of the Polish state, Alexander Kwasniewski. Rushailo said that apart from the conference's themes, much attention was paid to Russian-Polish bilateral relations. The conference is to adopt a political declaration and a plan of action. Its implementation is to contribute to a coordinated counteraction by the participating states of this forum to international terrorism.
