The entry of Russia into the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum "has opened new possibilities for investments and cooperation with this economically perspective region," Viktor Ishayev, chairman of the Russian national committee for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and governor of the Khabarovsk Territory (Russian Far East), told reporters. Speaking at the news conference on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia's entry into the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the governor underscored that more than 90 percent of the investments, attracted to the Khabarovsk Territory, had come from the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region (APR). The governor said that he positively assessed the expansion of Russia's cooperation with the APR countries. Viktor Ishayev spoke in favour of such expansion both on a bilateral level and within the framework of the APEC.
