The presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will gather for talks in the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent December 27. Their talks, to continue into December 28, are going to focus on the current state and future prospects for multilateral cooperation. The event will be crowned with a joint communique. While in Tashkent, the Central Asian leaders will visit a memorial to victims of repression and lay wreaths at the monument. They will also visit some of Tashkent's newly built facilities-a water sports complex and an international business center.
