Ukraine Receives EUR 8.4 Million from EU to Build Border Infrastructure

The EU has donated EUR 8.4 million to Ukraine to establish a border infrastructure with Russia and Moldova. According to EU spokespersons in Brussels, Europe hopes that Ukraine will manage to bring its southwestern and eastern borders into line with international standards.

During an informal CIS summit at the end of January Kiev and Moscow signed an agreement regarding the land border between the two countries.
