President George Bush Sr., the father of the incumbent US President, and his wife Barbara Bush visited the LBJ (Lyndon Baines Johnson) mission-control center in Houston, Texas, February 3rd, talking to US astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) over a radio hook-up.
Talking to mission commander Kenneth Bowersox, Bush Sr. voiced his support for two US astronauts and one Russian cosmonauts now working aboard the ISS.
The current ISS crew consists of US astronauts Kenneth Bowersox and Donald Pettit, as well as Russian cosmonaut Nikolai Budarin.
The incumbent US President George Bush Jr. and his wife Laura are to visit the LBJ mission-control center February 3, attending a ceremony devoted to the memory of the US Space Shuttle Columbia's crew.
