In a few weeks Geneva will host a meeting of representatives from member states of the UN Secretary General's friendship group on Georgia in order to resolve the Abkhazian conflict, Georgia's President, Eduard Shevardnadze, stated in his interview with the National radio on Monday.
High ranking representatives from the USA, France, Germany and Great Britain will participate in the coming meeting, he pointed out. Great Britain's Premier intends to send his representative to this meeting.
Shevardnadze pointed out that "representatives from Georgia and Abkhazia would not be among the participants." However, he also stated that decisions taken at the Geneva meeting would give a new impetus to the Georgian-Abkhazian dialogue.
