Belarus and the USA have signed a memorandum on the supply of Belarus petrochemical and manufatured goods to the US market. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the Belarus Foreign Ministry on Monday, January 13, the memorandum was signed during the visit to Washington of a Belarus delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Mikhnevich.
The memorandum will be valid until 2006. According to Belarus, the document is 'in the interests of Belarussian manufacturers of women's clothing and fibre glass.' Such Belarussian goods have enjoyed a great deal of demand on the US market for many years. 'This agreement not only gives us the opportunity to maintain the current level of supply but to increase it significantly,' read the announcement from the ministry's press office.
