French President Jacques Chirac expressed his condolences and solidarity to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the terrorist act in Grozny.
According to the French government's press service, the French president sent a letter addressed to Vladimir Putin, where Jacques Chirac says in particular that he is "shocked with the tragic events in Grozny" and expresses France's full solidarity with Russia.
The French President also "expresses his deep condolences in connection with the tragic events in Grozny to Vladimir Putin and asks on his behalf to pass those condolences and sincere sympathies to the relatives and close friends of the victims."
