Representatives of the Russian and Estonian foreign ministries have initialed an agreement on real estate of the countries' embassies, said press attache of the Russian embassy in Tallinn Dmitry Ivanov to RIA Novosti on Thursday.
"Thanks to this document, property issues of the two countries' embassies will be judicially regulated," the diplomat said. Thus, "the Russian and Estonian embassies will be assigned the property they have at their disposal now", he explained.
The Estonian embassy on its part stressed that the agreement "will provide it with the sites around the embassy buildings for unlimited and free use while the Russian law allows foreign countries preserve the right to property on real estate, including land".
