Two days before the presidential elections in Ukraine, scheduled for May 25, hackers from CyberBerkut group that have repeatedly uploaded documents on the Internet to incriminate the new Kiev authorities declared that they had destroyed the electronic system of the Ukrainian Central Electoral Committee.
"We, CyberBerkut, to protest against the legitimization of crimes of the Kiev junta, have completely destroyed the network and computing infrastructure of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine. We responsibly claim that the "Unified Information-Analytical System "Elections,"" created under the full control of the United States, has ceased to exist, the website of the group says.
The hackers also claimed that they had private mail correspondence between the members of the CEC and technical documentation of system administrators of the CEC and district election commissions.
