Madonna laughs hysterically at Mariah Carey's low ticket sales

The superstar apparently enjoyed comparing her ticket sales with that of 36-year-old Mariah Carey’s, according to a published report.

The NY Daily News says: 'Last week, a spy tells us, Madonna was getting ready to go onstage in Chicago when someone told her Carey had been forced to cancel three tour dates. (Billboard reports that Madge's "Confessions" tour is on track to gross a record-breaking $200 million.)'

"Madonna laughed hysterically," said a source. "She has been asking her tour promoters to E-mail her Mariah's numbers!"

The 'Material Girl' singer was also rumored to be amused by how Mariah didn't like the fact that Madonna's musical director Randy Jackson, a judge from 'American Idol', said Madonna's show in L.A. was an inspiration for him.

But Liz Rosenberg, who is a spokesperson for the pop star, insists Madonna doesn't care about Mariah's ticket sales at all, and "she has no negative feelings toward Mariah".

But Mariah's rep says, "Her tour is selling really well. She's canceled a few cities so she can add shows in larger cities. Toronto and Vancouver are sold out. So is her Madison Square Garden show. She's adding a Jones Beach show Sept. 3."
