Russia put a new military satellite into orbit Tuesday.
The Kosmos-3M rocket carrying a Kosmos-series military satellite blasted off successfully from the Plesetsk launch facility in northern Russia, said Vitaly Vyatkin, a spokesman for the Russian Space Forces.
He would not reveal any details of the satellite, Kosmos-2429, which entered a designated orbit about one hour after the launch.
