Russian Government to Draft Plan of Action on Co-Operation with Eu

Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has instructed Cabinet members to draft a plan of action on co-operation with the European Union for a period to this year's end in view of Italy's presidency of the EU starting this summer, the Government Information Department told RIA Novosti.

The premier gave the above instructions at a Monday conference with vice-premiers and key ministers.

Particular attention in drafting the plan should be paid to the realisation of the idea of creating a single economic space, energy dialogue and correction of approaches to the implementation of the Russian proposal on the introduction of visa-free exchanges between Russia and the EU, the department said.

Kasyanov informed the participants in the conference of the results of his Italian visit.
