A railroad accident outside St. Petersburg Tuesday has left at least 10 people injured. According to the press service of the Northwestern Interior Department for Transportation, a commuter train collided with the trailer of a Kamaz truck and derailed as a result, with one of the cars turning upside down. Ten people have by now applied for medical aid, including the train driver, RIA Novosti announces. Rescue operations are now underway at the accident scene, as is work to resume unhindered traffic passage between St. Petersburg and Vyborg.
