The Milan police say they have discovered a ring offering prostitutes through the Internet. The web site “metropolitan.it (currently out of operation) is said to have advertized the above service. The investigation is in progress – the related equipment has been seized while two web-site administrators, initially detained, have now been released on bail. It has been established that a mass delivery of girls’ photos was carried out from the site, including their personal details and the prices. Interestingly, many of those women were not professional prostitutes, but ordinary housewives and students. According to the police, 6 footballers spent a party with the above girls after which stayed with them for a night at one of the player’s. The prices are believed to have been extremely high, amounting to $1,500 for a session. Police decline to identify the footballers only saying that they play for renowned sports clubs. However, it is Italian journalists who have managed to identify them. The football players have been found to be from such clubs as Uventus, Roma, and Milano. Former Kyiv Dynamo player Andrei Shevchenko is known to play for Milano, so it is very likely that he can afford diverting himself in such a manner.
