High-ranking Moscow administration official is accused of abuse of office

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has issued an indictment against Moscow city administration's Finance Minister Yuri Korostelyov. The indictment has been made within the framework of the criminal case in relation to Media-MOST holding CEO Vladimir Gusinsky. The high-ranking Moscow official is charged with abuse of office on financial-credit relations between Media-MOST and the Moscow administration. A preventive punishment measure against Korostelyov is under consideration at the moment, the Interfax announced. An official representative of Moscow city administration has already called the charges, preferred against Korostelyov, a “provocation”.
