Lifting of Kursk finished

An hour ago, the Smith Weiss tug boat came to the Gigant-4 barge and started transporting to the dock the vessel with Kursk nuclear submarine fastened under the vessel’s bottom. The Kursk was lifted at a height of 58 metres above the sea bottom. The operation was carried out without complications. Therefore, the lifting operation is practically finished. In good weather conditions, transporting the submarine to Roslyakovo dock could last about two days. However, the meteorologists forecast the weather to become worse in Barents sea tomorrow. If so, transporting Kursk to the dock could last four days.
