Next week the Russian government will announce its decision on oil production in connection with an oil price slump, Russian Energy Minister Igor Yusufov said at a briefing following a Cabinet meeting today. He also stressed that OPEC "was close to decreasing the rate of oil production again." The minister confirmed that Russia would not attend the nearest OPEC session on November 14, because it would be an extraordinary meeting, and only OPEC members could take part in it.
