Russia Can Participate In Construction Of Baku-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline

On Friday the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will present at Russia's Ministry of Energy a project of building the Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline, president of the LUKOIL oil company Vagit Alekperov said. According to him, representatives of Russian oil companies and of the Transneft company will attend the presentation. As Alekperov noted, taking by Russian oil companies of a decision on participation in this project will depend on its economic expediency and on a consent of the Russian government to join the project. The president of the oil company also said that LUKOIL is considering a possibility of participation in the Baku-Ceyhan project but a final decision on this question has not been taken so far.
