Chairman of the Russian government Mikhail Kasyanov held a conference with heads of Russian oil companies Friday. The conference may result in a decision to take measures conducive to stabilisation of prices on the world oil markets. The measures have not been disclosed yet. According to the data compiled by the government information department, the decision can be made "within a fair price corridor" ensuring the balance of interests of oil producers and consumers. According to some media, Russia, Mexico and Norway have already agreed to contract oil exports by 500,000 barrels a day. At the same time, the Russian Energy Ministry neither confirmed nor refuted this information.
