An Israeli who has been held hostage by four criminals in his own apartment has been released in Rostov-on Don (in the south of Russia), RIA Novosti learned from the press service of the Rostov region's Interior Department.
Pavel Peker ran a business in Rostov. The criminals demanded that he return 11,000 dollars which, they said, he owes them.
The special operation was carried out by the Department of the Fight against the Organised Crime of the Rostov region. Upon releasing him, four men were detained. The press service reported that the detainees are directly involved in a criminal gang.
Pavel Peker's being held by criminals became known through the International Police as Peker's brother, who lives in Israel, reported it, an Interior Department said.
