Four policemen were killed and 11 wounded in an explosion of a dwelling house in the village of Troitskaya in Ingushetia (a North Caucasian republic neighboring on Chechnya), reported the information department of the Russian emergencies ministry. Two of the wounded policemen are in a critical state.
According to the information provided by the ministry, the blast took place at 10.30 Moscow time on Lenin Street. "The explosive device went off when the policemen were inspecting a private dwelling house," said the ministry's spokesman. The wounded have been hospitalized.
An operative-investigation group is working on the scene.
