The Giant-4 pontoon has launched the towing of the Kursk nuclear submarine on Monday, Aide to the Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Igor Dygalo reported. By 11:00, Moscow time, the Kursk, which wrecked in the Barents Sea in August 2000, has been raised 58 m from the sea floor. The Giant-4 pontoon, which the Kursk is attached to by cables, has raised its anchors and is currently being towed by the Smit Wijs tug.
