The nuclear powered submarine Kursk has been lifted 22 metres above the Barents sea bottom. Igor Dygalo, aide of the Russian Naval Commander-in-Chief, reported that on Monday afternoon the submarine's hull is expected to be raised and fastened to the bottom of the special barge Giant-4. Then the sea tug boats Atrek and Smit Wijs will start towing the Kursk to the coast.
