There is a slim chance of discovering, with the help of an underwater Triton bathyscaphe, of any remnants of the TU-154 passenger jetliner supposedly shot down by a Ukrainian missile as it was flying over the Black Sea. In a telephone interview with RIA Novosti, Ivan Teterin, chief of the federal Emergencies Ministry's North Caucasian regional center, said there was practically no visibility at the depth of 1 kilometre. Teterin reported that the Triton, brought to the crash site on board the ship Academic Golytsin, had already started its operations. Teterin said that the search zone within the TU-154 aircraft crash site had been expanded.
