No Irregularities Reported From Aboard Tu-154 Before Crash

No irregularities were reported from aboard the TU-154 plane before the crash, Tatyana Anodina, Chairwoman of the Intergovernmental Aviation Committee (IAC), told RIA Novosti. According to her, "experts have conducted a thorough analysis of all relevant data available at the flight surveillance and control units that had guided the TU-154 en route and registered information pertaining to the flight. "The plane's first pilot delivered his last report to the flight control centre as scheduled. No new reports from aboard the plane were received by the time the TU-154 disappeared from the screens of the flight control's radars," Anodina pointed out. The IAC chairwoman said that there are several types of special signals to be transmitted in case an irregular situation arises aboard a plane. Answering to RIA Novosti's question whether the plane's first pilot was bound to transmit such a signal in case he sensed a threat or heard gun shots aboard, Anodina said, "Of course". She emphasized that the commission had requested other countries' flight control and surveillance organizations to furnish all relevant information. The commission has also asked for provision of all other information pertaining to the flight. According to Anodina, the commission pins great hopes on the planned deep-water search operations, preparation for which is currently underway at the site of the crash.
