Three explosions hit the Hamas installation in the town of Khan Yunis, leaving two Hamas policemen dead and more than 10 people wounded, Hamas radio reported. Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Gaza Health Ministry confirmed the deaths.
Israel carries out regular military operations in Gaza, targeting militants launching near-daily rocket barrages into Israel. Militants launched eleven rockets and mortars at Israel on Wednesday, the military said.
Hamas, an Islamic militant group with ties to Iran, took over Gaza in June, and Israel holds it responsible for the rocket fire.
