Nizhny Novgorod Governor held the first meeting of the organizing committee of the International Business Summit. The summit will be held in the capital of the region on September 10-12.
"It is hard to count the number of venues, on which the summit will take place. For example, issues of personnel policies will be discussed simultaneously at several venues, including at the Chamber of Commerce, high schools, and other sites of the Ministry of Education. Overall, we plan to focus the main activities of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair," Minister for Investment Policy of the region, Yuri Groshev said.
This year, discussions of major investment projects, including the construction of a high-speed railway, will become the key subjects for attention.
"Within the scope of the St. Petersburg forum, we and the participants of the project of the high-speed railway, agreed that it is necessary to establish the Association of subjects and cities connected with a network of high-speed railway traffic. Such an organization will coordinate actions of the heads of local governments in the implementation of adequate projects. We proposed a venue of the International Business Summit, that will be held in Nizhny Novgorod in September, to hold the first organizational meeting of the Association. All participants in the session, representatives of regions and ministries agreed to this proposal," Governor Valery Shantsev said after the meeting of the organizing committee.
The Second International Business Summit was conducted in Nizhny Novgorod on 10-12 September 2013. Seventy-two congress events were held on 12 venues. Twenty agreements, totaling 74 billion rubles, were signed between the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Russian and foreign companies.
