Basra Witnesses Bombing - 4 April, 2003

Occupation forces have repeatedly bombed Iraq's second largest southern city of Basra. According to the Iranian radio, explosions are also heard in the Iranian border town of Shelemcheh.

US-British forces have been besieging Basra for two weeks already, though they have so far failed to completely seize the city with the population of over one million. Iraq's governmental troops continue showing resistance. In some districts of Basra, there is severe fighting between Iraqis and invaders, most of which are British military men.
