CIA asks foreign special services to torture suspects - John Brennan

Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Brennan, speaking before the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, exposed a few details about the cooperation between the CIA and foreign intelligence agencies. He noted that the US government approved the practice of joint actions to neutralize international criminals or terrorist suspects

"There are places throughout the world where CIA has worked with other intelligence services and has been able to bring people into custody and engage in the debriefings of these individuals ... through our liaison partners, and sometimes there are joint debriefings that take place as well," said CIA Director John Brennan.

He confirmed that the United States periodically asked intelligence agencies in other countries to interrogate suspects with the use of physical methods. Thus, the CIA has reiterated its tolerance for torture, Pravda.Ru reports.

Fox News Channel conducted its own investigation and noted that the activities of the CIA and Brennan in particular in terms of torture intensified after the inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009. Since then, the department has received a number of secret rooms, where US secret agents would interrogate suspicious people.

Brennan also said that intercepting personal data in the US segment of the Internet was a necessary measure to counter cyber threats from the outside.
