British civil servant sentenced to six months

A British civil servant was sentenced be a judge on Thursday for breaking the Official Secrets Act. He leaked a classified memo about a meeting between Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President George W. Bush.

David Keogh, 50, a government communications officer, was found guilty of "making a damaging disclosure" by passing on the secret memo about April 2004 talks between the two leaders in which Bush purportedly referred to bombing the Arab television station Al-Jazeera.
