Microsoft will sign a two-way deal with LinkedIn, Tagged, Hi5, Bebo and Facebook to provide its users with an opportunity to find contacts on the named social networking sites and vice versa.

Analysts consider this partnership to be dubious, on the one hand it may just involve data portability, but on the other hand it may involve different infringements and fraud.

Microsoft claims in its turn that its “Windows Live Contacts API” though using “screen-scraping” technology is much safer and more secure for customers, reducing the risk of attacks, identity fraud, and spam.
