Unknown perpetrators stole 16 kilometers of electrical cable from Sedanka-Patroclus Highway that was built in Russia's Vladivostok for the 2012 APEC summit. The highway was left without electricity.
The incident occurred on New Year's Eve, but the news was made public only a short while ago.
Several criminal cases have been filed into the fact of robbery.
For the time being, workers have installed about eight kilometers of new cable. Repairs continue; the highway will have illumination by the end of the month.
Noteworthy, the construction of the highway cost the Russian budget 29 billion rubles.
