Beyonce and Lady Gaga Leads MTV Music Awards
Singers Beyonce and Lady Gaga lead the nominations at this year's MTV Music Video Awards with nine apiece.
The pair will go head to head in eight categories, including best female video and video of the year, BBC News reports.
Both pop stars are up for the prestigious Video of the Year and Best Female Video accolades, Beyonce for ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ and Lady Gaga for ‘Poker Face’, Ireland Online reports.
Beyonce and Lady Gaga proved to be music video favorites as MTV on Tuesday announced its nominations for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards show. The two are tied for the most award nominations, with nine each. Beyonce is nominated for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and Lady Gaga for "Pokerface" and "Paparazzi,", Chicago Tribune reports.
