An air force base of states-members of the CIS Collective Security Treaty to be deployed in Kirghizi

Two Russian transport aircraft landed in the airport of the city of Kant in Kirghizia with equipment for deploying there an air force base within the framework of the CIS Collective Security Treaty.

Two transport IL-76 aircraft brought to Kirghizia technical personnel to service Russian military aircraft to arrive there on 2 December. A SU-27 interceptor-fighter aircraft and a SU-25 ground-attack aircraft will be stationed at the military aerodrome in Kant.

Demonstration flights of the Russian military aircraft expected to be watched by Russian defense minister Sergei Ivanov are scheduled to take place on 5 December.
