Croatia, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland and the Czech Republic stamped their passports carrying them to the final phase of UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine in 2012, after the second legs of the play-offs among the second-placed teams. The results of the games and the group of finalists is presented below.

Jiracek (81') scored the only goal of the game, leaving no doubts as to the Czech Republic's superiority over the two games: three goals scored, none suffered. Do not rule Montenegro out, however, of future competitions.

Ward scored after 32' but Vassiljev got Estonia's goal of honour on 57 in Dublin.

If the first result had Portugal nervous, the second in Estádio da Luz, Benfica's iconic stadium in Lisbon, left no doubts. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first on 8' and Nani added the second on 24'. Bosnia pulled one back before half time, Misimovic, 41' (penalty). After the break, Cristiano Ronaldo scored Portugal's third on 53' and Spahic got Bosnia's second on 65' before Portugal buried the game with three more goals. Hélder Postiga scored a brace (72', 82') and the growing force in Portuguese football, Miguel Veloso, chalked up his effort on 80'.
