Pop star Britney Spears has given birth to her second child in Los Angeles. Spears gave birth by ceasarean section at around 2am Tuesday.
The news was first reported by scandal mags National Enquirer and Us Weekly but there was no confirmation from the Spears camp. People Magazine, which has been the singer's favoured publication for news releases and announcements, was silent on the issue.
Spears, 24, and husband Kevin Federline, 28, welcomed their first child, son Sean Preston, on September 14, 2005. Federline has two other children from a previous relationship, DPA reports.
Spears first publicly confirmed this pregnancy during a May 9 visit to the Late Show with David Letterman. "Don't worry, Dave, it's not yours," she joked to the host, who responded: "Oh. Well, I think that's good news for both of us."
The birth of their second child comes as Spears and Federline celebrate their second anniversary: The couple wed on Sept. 18, 2004. The pair began talking about starting a family soon after. "I can see myself as a mom. Next year at 23, I am so there," she told PEOPLE shortly after the wedding, people.aol.com says.
