Another woman has died at Moscow plastic surgery clinic in just several days. Anastasia Chachina, aged 28, a native of the city of Tula, came to the clinic for the procedure of liposuction. The woman felt bad after the injection, which the doctors had made. The patient soon died of a heart failure, a source at Moscow law-enforcement agencies told Interfax.
The tragedy took place in a private clinic of plastic surgery and cosmetology. Forensic experts withdrew the medicine, which had been used for the injection.
"The woman received the injection of a medicine, which triggered irreversible reactions in her body. Most likely, it was an allergic reaction, and the woman suffered an anaphylactic shock," officials said.
It was later reported that the woman was injected with a 2-percent solution of lidocaine, Life News said. The woman's condition worsened immediately after the injection. Her eyes rolled and foam appeared at her mouth.
"We did our best, we took all life saving efforts possible. We called the ambulance immediately, and paramedics also tried to help, but the patient had no chance," an employee of the clinic said.
While police officers and paramedics were registering the woman's death, a text message arrived on Anastasia's phone. It was a message from her mother: "Dear, where are you? I am worrying about you."
Last week, a plastic surgery led to a lethal outcome for a 54-year-old woman, a Muscovite. The tragedy occurred at another clinic, where the woman had a face-lift operation. It was said that the woman died from a heart failure. The woman's name was Elena Tokareva; she was an accountant. The patient had been examined profoundly before the operation.
The surgery was performed on Friday from 9:00 till 16:00 o'clock. Afterwards, the woman was taken to a stationary facility, where she spent seven hours. Medics say that her condition was normal. At about 19:00, a nurse made the woman a pain-killing injection. The patient did not wish to spend the night at the clinic - she was allowed to go home.
However, at about 4:00 in the morning, Tokareva returned to the clinic. The woman complained of strong headaches. The surgeon removed the bandages and examined the patient. The doctor did not find any blood tumors on the woman's face. Her blood pressure was normal too. The doctor replaced the bandages, and the woman went to visit the bathroom. Two minutes later, she was found there dead. Investigation is underway.
Women may often fall victims of their own wish to look beautiful. Such tragic incidents take place both in Russia and abroad. In the beginning of the year, a 23-year-old German porn star Carolin Berger (Sexy Cora) died during breast augmentation surgery. Cora wanted to increase the mass of silicone in her each breast from 500 to 800 grams. It was her sixth operation. Her heart stopped beating during the surgery. On January 11, the actress lapsed into a coma and then died without regaining consciousness.
Some women agree to have illegal surgeries in an attempt to look better. Claudia Adusei, 20, died in the USA in February. The British woman arrived in the States to have injections of liquid silicone in her buttocks. This procedure is officially banned in the United States. The woman negotiated everything on the Internet. She received the injection at her hotel room near the international airport in Pennsylvania.
Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano died in 2009 from complications arising during a gluteoplasty - the enlargeement of buttocks. The liquid injected during the procedure had somehow traveled to her lungs and brain. After three days in critical care in a Buenos Aires hospital, Magnano ultimately died of a pulmonary embolism, or blocked artery in the lung.
