For the first time in the history of space flights, Europeans plan to land on a comet which travels in the Universe at 135 000 km/hr.
The project of the European agency costs 770 million Euro. It is expected to be launched on February 26. The space probe is planned to land on the “Churyumov-Gerasimenko” comet.
The project is intended to aid researchers to gain more insight of formation of the Universe and existence of life on the earth, informs RIA “Novosti”.
Director of the Scientific Research Center of the European Agency David Southwood remarks that this is the most ambitious space mission of all undertaken by the humankind.
