Sumitomo Corporation to Hold Conference in Nizhni Novgorod on Car Production - 1 April, 2003

A delegation from Japanese Sumitomo Corporation will hold a conference on car production in Nizhni Novgorod in May. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the regional administration, the conference will feature representatives of eight Japanese companies which produce Toyota car parts as well as representatives of the Nizhni Novgorod car industry.

The Japanese delegation arrived in Nizhni Novgorod yesterday, headed by the director of Sumitomo Corporation in Russia. He met the governor of the region yesterday and meetings are also planned with directors of GAZ, Zavolzhsky Car Factory, Pavlovsky Autobus, Instrum-Rand and Pavlovsky Instrument-Making Factory. The Japanese delegation will be in the region for two weeks.
